This Privacy Policy governs the use of the Meta Ad Uploader Tool (MAUT) (the “Tool”), an internal application designed solely for authorized employees and contractors of Adsaru (“the Company”) to streamline the process of uploading and managing advertising campaigns on the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) platform.
This policy applies exclusively to the data handled within the Company’s systems by the Tool and does not supersede or replace any privacy policies or terms of service of the external Meta platform.
1. Data Collected
The Tool processes and collects data in two main categories:
A. Internal User Data (Collected for Security and Auditing)
- Identification Data: Employee/User name, email address, and unique user ID.
- Usage Data: Log-in/log-out times, activity within the Tool (e.g., campaign creation, modification, upload timestamps), and error reports.
- Access Credentials: Encrypted Meta API tokens or access credentials necessary for the Tool to interact with the Meta Ads API on behalf of the user or the Company.
B. Advertising Campaign Data (Processed for Functionality)
- Ad Creative Content: Images, videos, copy, headlines, and calls-to-action for the advertisements.
- Targeting Parameters: Audience definitions, demographic information, and interest-based criteria used to define the ad recipient group on Meta.
- Campaign Structure Data: Campaign objectives, budgets, bidding strategies, ad set configurations, and scheduling information.
- Performance Metrics: Data returned from Meta regarding campaign delivery, spend, clicks, impressions, and conversions for internal reporting purposes.
2. How Data is Used
The data collected and processed by the Tool is used strictly for internal business purposes:
- Functionality: To successfully generate, configure, and upload advertising campaigns and assets to the Meta platform as instructed by the user.
- Operation and Maintenance: To monitor the Tool's performance, troubleshoot errors, and manage access privileges.
- Security and Auditing: To log user activities to ensure compliance with internal company policies, prevent misuse, and maintain a historical audit trail of campaign changes.
- Reporting: To aggregate campaign performance data for internal analysis and business intelligence.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Storage Location: All data collected and processed by the Tool, including usage logs and API credentials, is stored on secure, internal Company servers and is not exposed externally.
- Access Control: Access to the data stored by the Tool is strictly limited to authorized Company personnel (e.g., IT, Security, and specific management roles) who require access for system maintenance, security, and internal auditing.
- Retention: Data is retained in accordance with the Company’s internal data retention policies for internal applications and advertising data.
4. User Responsibilities and Compliance
All users of the Tool are responsible for adhering to the Company’s internal IT and compliance policies. Users must ensure that the advertising content and data they upload comply with:
- All applicable external laws and regulations.
- Meta's advertising policies and terms of service.
- The Company’s internal content standards and advertising guidelines.
Unauthorized use of the Tool, or use that violates company policies, may result in disciplinary action.
5. Policy Updates and Contact
The Company reserves the right to modify this internal Tool Privacy Policy at any time. Significant changes will be communicated to users by email.
